Rescue Programs
The Black Dog K-9 Rescue Project was started to help shelters place dogs into loving, lifetime homes.
We help adopters find the right dog for their family,test dogs, perform professional dog to dog introductions and much more.
At times Black Dog fosters these dogs and assumes the cost of their care in order  to get to know them and help them through the transition from shelter to forever homes.

Pets-2-Vets
   We are honered to work in cooperation with Pets-2-Vets and thr Animal Welfare League to provide discounted adoptions and training for veterans.  Pets -2-Vets offers pet adoption help and reverals for returning veterans, police, fire, and first responders. Vivit www.p2v.org for more information.

 Sertoma Dogs/ Sertoma Centre
Black Dog K9 in cooperation with Sertoma Centre holds animal career training for people with special challenges.
In these classes homeless pets from the Animal Welfare League are trained in a 5 week program by Sertoma Centre consumers.
If you are looking for a new dog who has been evaluated and trained in the basics, visit the Animal Welfare League and ask about adopting one of the Sertoma Dogs or call the AWL at 708-636-8586 and ask for Terri.

South Suburban P.A.D.S
We support and accept donations for the P.A.D.S program providing food and shelter for those in need,
